Scholarship Award
The Program in Educational Faculty Development will provide support for faculty undertaking and presenting scholarly work pertaining to the education of medical students or residents. Support will take the form of reimbursement for project supplies or services (such as interview transcription), conference registration fees, air or ground transportation, and lodging. (Please note, gift cards are not eligible for reimbursement.)
Awards may not exceed $750. In order to ensure the greatest amount of equity possible, an individual will only be eligible for a single Scholarship Award in any given fiscal year (conference date July 1 through June 30). Original receipts must be submitted. Awards will be made on a rolling basis across the two academic semesters.
Award recipients will be expected to work with the Program in Educational Faculty Development to share new knowledge and skills with AMS faculty through workshop development and delivery, sharing of electronic resources, or some other appropriate mechanism of dissemination.
